ou can use PDNow to communicate with other educators 1:1 using the messaging feature. This can be used for multiple reasons, including:

  • Coach and coachee to communicate around professional learning goals
  • School leaders with individual staff about recommended content
  • PLC communication around specific PDNow content

 

You must have added another user as a friend before you can send messages in PDNow. To add someone as a friend, click on their name from a Community or Forum post to open their profile and click on “Add as a Friend”.



If you are assigned a school or district administrator in PDNow, you can send messages directly from the administrator dashboard, which you can access by clicking on Learning Dashboard. You do not need to add users as friends on PDNow if they are assigned to your team as the administrator.



For individual users, you can access your messages from the PDNow home screen by clicking on the envelope icon at the top of the screen.



A pop-up will appear and any new messages will be shown. Click on “Show All” to go to the messaging screen.



To create a new message, click on “New Message.”



Once the message opens, you can:

  1. Add recipients – this can be to an individual or a group
  2. Add a subject
  3. Add the body of your message
  4. Attach a document or image to the message.



Then click “Send Message.”
